1.Summary

 This chapter focuses on the exploration of the encyclopedia of general knowledge and highlights the importance of Wikipedia in this exploration. The chapter begins with an introduction to Jimmy Wales's dream of creating a free encyclopedia, and discusses the historical background behind this dream and the impact of the Enlightenment on the encyclopedia. Although the Welsh dream faces technological challenges, technological progress is considered to be the key to achieving this goal. In the absence of confirmed sources, editors need to deal with these legends carefully in order to ensure the accuracy and credibility of the encyclopedia.
