A government is a system or organization that governs an organized community, such as a nation.

Many countries have governments, and therefore their forms vary. Representative examples include democracy, totalitarianism, and mixed forms. The government mainly gains power through elections or hereditary succession.

The origins of government are unclear, but records show that it arose about 5,000 years ago. Among the reasons for the emergence of government was agriculture. The development of agriculture left a surplus of food, which made it possible to specialize in non-agricultural activities. One of them involves dominating other people.

In modern times, republicanism has increased. The war contributed to this growth.

Proper management of infrastructure requires central administration and complex social organization. But it is also interesting that they succeeded in managing the appropriate infrastructure in an equal, distributed, complex society, and I am curious about how they managed it.

The size and scale of government increased significantly in the 19th and 20th centuries, including the development of corporate regulation and the welfare state. Does this mean that the government has developed regulations on companies and the welfare state has grown? Or is it that the government developed because companies were regulated and the welfare state developed?
