1) summarize in your own words of materials you read;
Social structure is the lasting connections between members of society, individuals or groups. social structure can be an identity, a behavior or relationship that persists in a group or society, or a social institution or standard. If we consider social structures as relationships between individuals or groups, it can be argued that society is made of groups or structures with different structures, meanings, and goals. If we consider social structure as a criterion that determines the behavior of social agents, it is argued that social structure shows how structural decisions occur, such that the behavior of people or groups is guided by implications embedded within the social system.
2) mention of any new, interesting, or unusual items learned;
Social structure determines the rules and capabilities of behavior practiced by members of society, and it is interesting to note that in most arguments of sociologists, social structure is implicit rather than determinative.
3) identify at least one question, concern, or discussion angle that is either problematic in some respect or could have been elaborated more.
When it is claimed that only the composition of the majority can create a social structure, I wonder what the majority standard is. Can two people become a majority?
